Since 2019, I've been been deeply committed to learning and practicing scar cover-up tattooing, with a special focus on supporting women affected by breast cancer.

I've received professional training in the following areas:

Medical training from surgeons specializing in breast cancer surgery and reconstruction.

Surgical techniques to understand different types of scars resulting from surgery or burns and the key aspects to consider during the tattooing process.

Psychological impact of breast cancer, including the emotional challenges faced by individuals undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and/or immunotherapy.

Specialized scar and burn tattooing techniques taught by experienced tattoo artists in the field.

Every individual has a unique medical history, and each case requires a personalized approach.

A first consultation is essential to assess the skin condition and discuss design preferences and expectations.

A medical certificate will be required before proceeding with the tattoo.

After my double mastectomy, I quickly decided not to undergo surgical reconstruction (it was too much for me). I discovered scar tattooing after breast cancer. Since having it done, I can look at myself in the mirror again and feel more confident in myself.

I wanted to congratulate and thank you once again for everything you do for women who have breast cancer. I find it so important, and I see that often even doctors are not aware of solutions like tattooing that can be so helpful to many women affected.

Veronique, Switzerland

I am a mother of three children. My eldest is 30 years old, and my twins are 27. I am 56.

The twins were born at 8 months of pregnancy, weighing 2.840 kg and 3.060 kg. I gained a total of 22 kg and had a huge belly.

Following this twin pregnancy, surgery was necessary to stitch back together my completely stretched muscles and to perform an initial abdominoplasty. The operation was a success, but it left a very long horizontal scar on my lower abdomen.

Last summer, the idea of camouflaging the scar with a tattoo got stuck in my mind — I was ready to take the step.

After much research and advice, I met Federica from Faith Tattoo for a first appointment. Our meeting was a success. As a professional, she immediately understood my physical and emotional pain. I explained the rough idea of the design I had in mind. Right away, she drew a first sketch freehand on my lower abdomen, traced it, and took pictures.

Throughout the following two weeks, we exchanged ideas to finalize the draft.

My decision to get a tattoo was fully conscious and carefully considered, with a clear goal. This meant that every little detail was of great importance to me.

Federica showcased her artistic skills and proved to be both patient and professional.

On October 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Federica transformed my lower abdomen.

Thanks to her work, when I now look in the mirror — no longer avoiding my lower belly — I am in awe of this harmonious creation. It feels like a true liberation.

The use of the word “intervention” in my text is intentional. It refers both to the surgeon’s procedure (abdominoplasty) and to the tattoo artist’s work (tattoo).

In my case, I am convinced that the intervention of both professions goes hand in hand. This connection contributed to my well-being and sense of peace.

My essential scar, now camouflaged with a tattoo that reflects who I am.

A thousand THANKS to Federica for her professionalism, her artistic skill, and her sensitivity.
